The Isles of Antillia are located westwards across the great Western Ocean, far beyond the known realms of Hyboria. These islands consist of seven large islands in the Western Ocean between Hyboria and a much larger continent still farther to the west called Mayapan. It is upon these islands that the survivors of the once great civilization of Atlantis now call home, twisted and changed by time. They hold on desperately to their past and continue to thrive and endure, the last true scions of Atlantis.
Manui are a fairly short race, though most make up for their stature with decent muscle to compensate. Their skin ranges anywhere from medium to dark olive-toned, and hair colour does not vary past deep brown or soft black. It is highly uncommon that a Manui is born with pin-straight hair, though this has become more and more common with further Yamatai crossbreeding; As has the frequency of monolids. Manui men and women will frequently decorate their upper bodies and faces with tattoos; These are believed to bring one strength and reflect the person’s spirit. At first glance, these tattoos appear to be purely geometrical - But one who knows how to recognise the symbolism would then know the story of the person they reside on.
Far beyond the western seas, the cartographers of Hyboria write a simple expression: “Here there be Monsters”. It is a half-truth at best. West of the Antillian Isles lies one of the largest empires of men in the world; the great kingdom of Mayapan. Dense, lush jungles, arid deserts, and snow-capped mountain ranges cradle cities shining with gold and running with blood from countless sacrifices from the people whose sworn duty it is to ensure that the sun continues to rise. Its people are strong, with oracles capable of scrying the winds of fate from the very stars themselves, utilising a system of mathematics and sorcery such that one is nearly indistinguishable from the other. An empire where great beasts forgotten by time prowl the jungles, where the gods are venerated in all things, where gold is no more precious than iron, Mayapan endures against raids carried out by the neighbouring Antillians and remains a land shrouded in mystery from the Hyborians across the great sea.
